This is Very Scary for Me.
Vulnerability isn't my strong suit, being snappy & hilarious is, but stay with me on this one, K?
I’ve been a writer my entire life; even when I was a little kid, I would routinely set up entire Polly Pocket villages and spend hours creating intricate, detailed (and frankly far too adult) scenarios and storylines. When I started freelancing a few years ago, I was floored that people paid me for my stories, and other people actually read them. Fast-forward to today, and after having my Substack for a year, and working diligently on my first book, I’ve decided to launch a paid substack and podcast.
Of course, you never have to pay for all of my content; that’s silly and stupid. But some of my content (and some new content) will be behind a paywall moving forward. This is part of an effort to support me financially and be able to put my all into the thing I love the most: writing.
Also, I published my first note on Substack Notes, and would love for you to join me there for more timely updates and just to shoot the shit, ya know?!
Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. I plan to use it for things that don’t fit in the newsletter, like work-in-progress or quick questions.
How to join
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to Ok, So Here's My Theory, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!
You can also share notes of your own. I hope this becomes a space where every reader of Ok, So Here's my Theory can share thoughts, ideas, and interesting quotes from the things we're reading on Substack and beyond.
If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Anyway, as I embark on this next, new thing, I hope you’ll still support me and my work. Thank you!
